Plano police are searching for a man who robbed a bank unarmed Monday afternoon.

Police say the white male entered the Bank of America in the 7000 block of Independence Parkway and demanded money from the teller. The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and he fled the bank on foot.

Rick McDonald, Plano Police spokesman, said it is believed that the suspect possibly left the location in a 1999 through 2004 silver Ford Mustang.

He said the suspect is described as having a medium build, dark complexion, short straight hair, bushy eyebrows and a mustache.

He was wearing a dark-colored jacket with a scarf around his neck.

“If you recognize this subject or have information regarding this incident, notify the Plano Police Department’s tip line at 972-941-2148,” McDonald said. “This is a crime of a serious nature and this individual needs to be brought to justice as soon as possible.”
