The North Texas Enterprise Center for Medical Technology (NTEC), a business accelerator for medical device and healthcare related technology firms, announced Wednesday that it has signed up La Jolla Digital as the newest company in its acceleration program.
La Jolla Digital is a privately held medical software development company headquartered in Frisco that was formed with the sole purpose of redefining electronic healthcare management one specialty at a time.
Their Software as a Service (SaaS) application was designed from the ground up to provide medical practices with an exciting alternative to aging client-server based healthcare management solutions. The product suite uses advanced web-technologies to deliver a seamless management interface between a practices’ front office, back office, and their patients. Their initial offering will focus on the dermatology specialty, with similar high-volume specialties added every nine months.
“We are excited to have added La Jolla Digital as our newest program company,” said Dr. Hubert Zajicek, director at NTEC. “La Jolla Digital’s strengths are in focusing on the enhancement of the practice of medicine literally one specialty at a time.”
Zajicek added that La Jolla’s product is innovative, unique and that it redefines the practice management application market by taking care of all aspects a doctor needs to run an efficient and safe office while making the experience a pleasant and smooth one for patients.
“Joining NTEC is a significant milestone for our company,” La Jolla Digital CEO Clark Terrill said. “While we are pushing the boundaries of innovation in the electronic healthcare management market, it is reassuring to have the backing of an organization with a track record of successful acceleration of start ups in the medical technology field.”
